and Ray Harryhausen wept....

Okay, with all the bravado and boasting akin to "this ain't yer daddy's Clash of the Titans" that this movie has been beating it's chest with, I'll admit, I was worried. Having seen nothing yet even of the redesign for the iconic Kraken, I wondered. Well, I wonder no more. I am pleased and excited. However, I really do hate this "rock n' rollin" 300-esque tone that they put every trailer for a adventure/fantasy/action film to nowadays. Ah, ce la vie.

side note: Don't get me wrong with this, I loved Cloverfield, and would love to see another movie with that monster done in a more "Godzilla" style, but doesn't the Kraken bear a resemblence?

  1. I'm into it. I loved the original (it's one of my faves ) but I am still going to see it. The dude rides on the back of a Pegasus to fight the Kracken. I'm fucking sold. I do agree with you, and can absolutely live without the nu-metal soundtrack. Somewhere out there you know there is a group of classically trained cats who would have loved to score this movie.
